Using an interpreter is an important resource for Children's patients and families. Interpreter Services is available to patients and their families free of charge 24 hours a day, every day. It includes all spoken languages as well as American Sign Language. In 2006, Interpretive Services had nearly 40,000 encounters.
When Delia learned her son was born with a rare and complicated syndrome, she needed answers. Unfortunately, most of the information available was written in English. “A Children’s interpreter translated documents for me into Spanish, which was very helpful—this way I can reference the information whenever I need it.” ~Delia, Aaron's mom
